Vivekananda International Foundation organized a webinar on 17 December 2020 on Philosophy of the Upanishads by distinguished speaker, Prof. Shashi Prabha Kumar, Dean, Sri Sankaracharya Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya, Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan. This lecture is part of the VIF lecture series ‘Philosophy for Beginners’. On 8 October, VIF organized a lecture in the ‘Understanding Indian History & Civilization’ series. Kalamandalam Shri Piyal Bhattacharya, artist, researcher and founder of Chidakash Kalalay in Kolkata, spoke on ‘India’s Musical Footprints in Asia’.

The Vivekananda International Foundation held a Vimarsh on 11 September 2020 on The Contemporary Relevance of Swami Vivekananda's Message for the anniversary of the historic speech given by Swami Vivekananda on, 11th September 1893 to the World's Parliament of Religions in Chicago. The main speaker for the event was Swami Sarvapriyananda, Minister & Spiritual Leader, Vedanta Society of New York.

The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 is a milestone document in the context of nation-building. VIF has thus planned to take up, in a series of webinars, issues arising out of the NEP-2020 which have a rather long-term bearing on the country’s development.
