Cchavi Vasisht is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru University in the Centre for South Asian Studies, School of International Studies, for her PhD research. Her doctoral research focusses on understanding entrepreneurship from a gendered lens in Kathmandu and Rautahat districts of Nepal. She has been awarded the UGC NET Senior Research Fellowship to pursue her research work. She completed Masters of Philosophy from Centre for South Asian Studies, where she understood international surrogacy from the sociological perspective within South-Asia. She completed her Master of Arts in Sociology from the same university.
